1% of Revenues Will Go to Reforestation Efforts World-wide
Why reforestation? Vietnam was one of the most bio-diverse countries in the world, but with growing population and urbanization the environment has deteriorated. Significant new construction and development together with the booming furniture export trade require cutting down trees, a lot of which were more than 100 years old from French colonial times. With deforestation comes serious consequences such as flooding, wild animal poaching, and salt intrusion in the Mekong Delta. Reforestation is not easy, but it offsets the carbon overload on our planet, and helps restore our ecosystem. The problem is equally big in North America and world-wide, and we are dedicated to supporting organizations that are doing this difficult work to restore our planet’s health. As part of this mission, GLACYO has joined 1% for the Planet, aiming to donate a minimum of 1% of annual sales to support reforestation non-profit organizations. Thank you for being part of this journey!
